WHAT IS THE DAVIS COURT UNIFORM FOR MEN AND WOMEN? 

The court uniform, what you should wear when you go inside the Juvenile Dependency Court. Hi, my name is Vince Davis. I'm an attorney here in Southern California and I represent people in CPS and DCFS cases. Come with me while I explain to you how to get that slight edge when you go to court and you're standing there in front of the judge. The court uniform, what you should wear when you go inside the Juvenile Dependency Court. Hi, my name is Vince Davis. I'm an attorney here in Southern California and I represent people in CPS and DCFS cases. Is there such a thing as a court uniform? Why haven't you heard about it? Most attorneys don't discuss this with their clients. How people look is important. It shows to other people that there may be some type of respect or seriousness about the case, where it is in the court system. These are judges and judicial officers that we're appearing in front of. I'm not allowed to wear a T-shirt and cutoff jeans and my flip flops into court. If I did, what would you think about me if I were your attorney? What would the judge think about me? Well, there's a reason for this, because subconsciously people look at you and they form opinions about you in their subconscious and they're making decisions about you. If you look a certain way, in my experience, you're going to get or gain an advantage sometimes with people, sometimes with the social worker, sometimes with the County Council, sometimes with the judge, so how you look matters. The uniform for the gentleman in the court is a dark blue suit, white shirt, any solid, what I call a presidential blue tie. There's a reason why you see our presidents on TV with dark blue suits, white shirts, and a solid blue tie. Of course, there are psychological reasons for this, so you should exploit that yourself when you go to court. Black shoes, black belt, and of course, no facial hair. That's what I call my court uniforms for women and men when you go into court in Juvenile Dependency, for that matter, when you go to any courtroom on any matter. Don't walk up in there and a T-shirt and jeans and expect to be treated with respect because you don't look like you deserve respect when you're coming to court.
