HUGE 900LB LIGER! (Tiger Crossed With Lion)
LARGEST CAT IN THE WORLD!
Liger:
*******
Hercules, an adult male liger (lion x tigress hybrid) currently housed at Myrtle Beach Safari, a wildlife reserve in South Carolina, USA, is the largest living cat. He is 3.33 m (131 in) in total length, 1.25 m (49 in) at the shoulder, and 418.2 kg (922 lb) in weight.
Ligers are typically bigger than tigers and lions, the two parental species. On the other hand, tigons, the mutual crossing hybrid between a male tiger and a lioness, are sometimes smaller than their progenitors.
While the cross between lions and tigresses occurs naturally, this only happens in parks and reserves without the need for IVF, as lions and tigers do not cross territory in the wild. Male hybrids are sterile in general.
